About me
I’m glad to have the opportunity to share personal and professional information about myself. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your physician, and I hope this page will help you get to know me better.
Biography
I attended college and graduate school in Illinois, and after getting tired of shoveling snow, I moved to California to attend medical school on a scholarship through the US Army. I completed my residency in internal medicine and my fellowship in cardiology in San Antonio, Texas. I served 11 years on active duty in the Army, separating as a lieutenant colonel. I really enjoyed the opportunity to serve my country and give back for all that my country has given me. After my military commitment, my wife and family had always wanted to return to California to live and practice, and we couldn’t be happier to be here in Southern California.
About my practice
I am board certified in cardiology, adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and lifestyle medicine. I strive to provide high-quality, efficient, and personalized cardiovascular care to my members. I feel that the cornerstone of cardiovascular health is not found in pills and procedures but rather comes from the lifestyle choices that we make in our daily lives with regard to regular exercise, a plant-based diet, and healthy lifestyle choices to prevent, treat, and reverse disease.
How I thrive
I believe life is a balance of health and enjoyment. I support and live a plant-based diet, which allows me to thrive at my maximum potential. I have enjoyed many hobbies over the years, including martial arts, motorcycling, piano, and guitar. Free time is always enjoyed with my wife and children. Go, Bears! Go, Cubs!
