About me

Hi, I'm Dr. Mike Ferreri. My last name is pronounced like the Italian sports car, but other than shared Italian heritage, there is no connection. I chose to be an optometrist because I wanted to help people, and restoring a person's sight is one of the most rewarding ways to do so.

Biography

I was born in a suburb of Chicago, but grew up right here in Southern California. I come from a large family and now have a family of my own, with 1 daughter and 3 sons. As an Eagle Scout myself, I believe in giving back to the community and to the Boy Scouts, so I can often be found at a scout meeting or camp when I'm not at work, and have even volunteered for the medical staff of the last National Jamboree.

About my practice

Having been in practice since 1993, I appreciate having some of the latest technology available to us here at Kaiser Permanente. I believe in practicing to the best of my ability, which is why I obtained certification to treat glaucoma. It is also why I perform orthoptic evaluations and treatments, to provide a wide scope of practice and to help members’ eyes function as well as possible.

How I thrive

To stay active, I go hiking or swimming. In my free time, I enjoy reading a great book. Also, I love to explore when I travel, and go fishing or zip lining whenever I get the chance.
