Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I am happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am board certified in internal medicine and bilingual in English and Spanish. I enjoy working at Kaiser Permanente and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in a small town in Venezuela to a very close-knit family. After graduating from medical school, I wanted to know the world and live in new places. I moved to the United States and first lived in Boston, where I learned English and became familiar with a new culture. I then moved to Miami for my residency training at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Soon after that I was ready to move again, and in 2002 I arrived in San Diego. I fell in love with this beautiful city, its wonderful people, and its perfect weather. Today my traveling days are over and I call San Diego my new home, where I live with my daughter.
About my practice
I believe that I am able to bring the diversity of my life experiences to my practice, and this helps me understand people from different backgrounds and in different stages of life. I have learned to listen carefully to my patients, take the time to explain their treatment plans, and answer their questions thoughtfully. I believe that care and empathy combined with current medical knowledge and strong communication skills are central to good medical care.
How I thrive
Since my daughter was born I have been enjoying a second childhood. On the weekends we take tennis lessons. I always try to take care of my body, eat healthy, and stay fit!
