Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am a Korean American from Florida, the land of sunshine and gators. I attended University of Florida for my undergraduate studies in microbiology as well as music performance, then University of Miami for my medical degree. I came to California for residency training at Arrowhead Regional/Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. Upon completion of my residency, I pursued further training in surgical critical care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. It all led me to finding a wonderful opportunity at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
I chose to become a doctor at a young age after observing my grandfather. I recall his small clinic in rural South Korea where he saw patients while I played with various medical tools in the corner. Despite the strange surroundings, I could still feel the care he was pouring into his work and appreciation from his patients. Once I understood the nature of his work, I wanted to follow his footsteps.
About my practice
I specialize in general surgery and surgical critical care. I take care of patients in emergency and elective settings, as well as cooperate with other surgeons at the Los Angeles Medical Center to manage the most critically ill surgical patients in our intensive care unit.
How I thrive
I thrive by making the most out of my time at work and at home. At work, I take great pleasure in proving you with the care you need so you can recover. At home, I engage in variety of activities to keep my mind and body healthy such as hiking, going to the gym, and swimming. I like to attend concerts of all music genre and enjoy playing my bassoon.
