About me
Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to learn more about your choice for your child's pediatrician. I am honored and want you to get to know me better. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2001 and have a large patient panel. This is good because it means I am popular, but it is bad because my schedule is very full and it is sometimes hard to see me.
Biography
I was raised in Southern California with an arts background in ballet, jazz, and modern dance. I knew I wanted to be a pediatrician from the time I was in elementary school and also wanted to be a UCLA Bruin. I have always been interested in helping communities around me. In high school I started an after-school program for kids from East Los Angeles projects called Children of the World Club. In college I was involved in UCLA Chicanos for Community Medicine. Currently I have Kaiser Permanente leadership roles in the Reach Out and Read program, the Hippocrates Circle program (founded by UC San Diego and Kaiser Permanente), and the new electronic medical record called Health Connect. I hope you won't mind, but I do chart (type on the computer) in the exam room.
About my practice
My practice runs smoothly because I have a great medical assistant. I am strictly a full-time outpatient pediatrician with minimal hospital duty. I try not to keep my patients waiting in the waiting room, but that means I get down to business when I see you. I do speak Spanish but English is my first language. I pride myself on good listening skills and try to incorporate the family as members of my team when treating the child. I will be to the point and will give the most up-to-date medical recommendations available. I insist on the highest quality of care for your child.
How I thrive
In the winter I love snowboarding, in the summer I love swimming, and when I am brave I surf. Most weekends I just hang out with my family and friends and go out to dinner. I have supportive parents who are always there for me. Mostly I enjoy spending time with my amazing husband and fun-loving son.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans’ contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of members’ KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. Accessibility of medical offices and medical centers in this directory: All Kaiser Permanente facilities are accessible to members.
