Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I hope the information here helps you get to know me better, and I look forward to participating in your orthopedic care. My colleagues and I here in the Department of Orthopedics continually strive to give you high-quality treatment for your musculoskeletal problems. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
I’m originally from Pennsylvania, but moved to Southern California at an early age and have spent most of my life here. I knew in high school that I wanted to become an orthopedic surgeon and focused my studies toward that goal. After earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees at UCLA, I attended medical school in Philadelphia. I returned to Los Angeles to complete my residency training, and was fortunate to join Kaiser Permanente immediately thereafter. I’ve found Kaiser Permanente a great place to practice medicine.
About my practice
As an orthopedic surgeon, it’s my mission to relieve pain and restore function to my members. My primary focus is on hip and knee replacement and reconstruction, in addition to general orthopedics. I firmly believe that orthopedic care is a collaborative effort involving myself, my staff, and, most importantly, you! I encourage my members to be active participants in their health and recovery. According to Hippocrates, "Walking is man’s best medicine."
How I thrive
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is very important to me. I’m an avid runner, participating in at least two marathons each year as well as a number of half marathons and other races. I’ve run races ranging from 5K to 50 miles. My faith is of the utmost importance to me. I try to keep an appropriate balance between work and home life. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to concerts, and traveling.
