About me

Welcome to my Web page! I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2009 after completing my geriatric psychiatry fellowship. It has been great to work in such a collegial environment and with such an integrated medical system. I work full time at the outpatient Point Loma Medical Offices.

Biography

I am originally from the New York metropolitan area. I came to San Diego for my psychiatry residency, and have remained here ever since. Although I sometimes miss the bustling lifestyle of the East Coast, I can’t complain about the wonderful climate and natural beauty of Southern California, which makes this part of America so alluring and delightful.

About my practice

I have an interest in the health and welfare of the elderly population, and I have used my inclination towards this age group to pursue a subspecialty in geriatric psychiatry. I think the unique needs of our older members deserve particular observation and care. As our population grows older, there will be more need for practitioners who specialize in geriatric medicine. I also see adult members of all ages. I think it is great to see a wide variety of patients as it keeps my practice diverse and bustling.

How I thrive

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. Since my husband and I have our extended families in other parts of the country, we take every chance we get to visit them. We also enjoy traveling to other parts of the world, and we are particularly fond of going on cruises. At home I try to eat well, exercise routinely, and get good rest. I also love reading magazines, spending time with my cat, and, most importantly, having play time with my daughter!
