I'm pleased to welcome you to my Web page! I have been working as an anesthesiologist at South Bay Medical Center since 2007. You can find me working in the preoperative areas, in the postsurgical recovery room, in the operating room, and in the labor and delivery suite.
I was born and raised in St. Louis—so I’m a Midwesterner at heart—but I love life here in sunny California! I first moved here after finishing my anesthesiology residency in Virginia in order to be closer to my brothers and my wife’s family. There are several other physicians in my family. In fact, my older brother is an anesthesiologist working at Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center.
My first and foremost priority with all my members is safety. I will not compromise on this priority for anything. It's also my goal that all my members have a pleasant experience in the hospital and are as comfortable as possible. I endeavor to treat my members as if they were members of my own family. Providing high-quality care to them is extremely important to me.
Every day, no matter how tired I am, I try to get in some physical activity. On most days, this means running around the park with my two young daughters. We have also started doing family walks around our neighborhood each evening before dinner. The walks help me relax and give me a sense of well-being after a busy day at the hospital. I avoid fried and fatty foods as much as possible to maintain a healthy weight. I’m in good shape now, and it’s my goal to maintain that for the rest of my life.
