Where I practice
Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself, and share a bit about my practice. I enjoy practicing at Kaiser Permanente because I collaborate with knowledgeable and compassionate colleagues to provide the best possible care for my patients.
I am a second-generation Asian Indian who came to this country at the age of six. I have benefited from exposure to two wonderful cultures: American and Indian. I draw upon the best qualities from each as I care for a diverse community of patients. I grew up in Long Beach, California, and now live in Orange County. I earned my undergraduate degree at UCLA. Post-graduate medical training took me and my family to the East Coast. We lived in Philadelphia and Baltimore for five years. It has been quite a journey, and we are glad to be back home in Southern California.
About my practice
As an ophthalmologist specializing in disease of the retina and vitreous, I am passionate about fighting for every line of vision, and I am constantly amazed by how much you can learn about a person's overall health by simply looking into their eyes. In my practice, I treat patients with retinal tears, retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, and macular degeneration. I perform many procedures including intraocular injections, laser treatments, and intraocular surgery. I provide my patients the same advice, opinions, and recommendations I would my friends, family or myself.
How I thrive
I am constantly advising my patients to eat right, exercise regularly, and strive to be healthy. In order to maintain my own health, I enjoy playing tennis and swimming. I truly appreciate being outdoors, and I take walks with my wife and son. I am a vegetarian, and eat at least two servings of fruit a day along with a balanced diet of vegetables. I try to live life to the fullest, and value the time I spend with my family.
