About me
Thank you for visiting my Web page. It is important to me that you feel comfortable with your pediatrician, so I hope this page will help you learn a little about me, my background, and how I practice medicine.
Biography
I'm originally from Northern California, but I moved down to Southern California for school, and I have not been able to leave ever since. I appreciate the diversity of the people, cultures, and food. And the weather is nearly always perfect!
About my practice
I chose to practice at Kaiser Permanente because it has been part of my life since I was a baby. I was born in a Kaiser Permanente hospital. In high school, I volunteered in a Kaiser Permanente Emergency Department. During college, I took classes about the field of medicine in Kaiser Permanente facilities. In medical school and residency, I rotated through many Kaiser Permanente offices and hospitals as well. In the end, it was clear that Kaiser Permanente was a perfect fit for me. I work alongside parents to optimize their children's health and development. I believe in preventive care to keep children healthy. In my practice, this is accomplished through safety, nutrition, and exercise. And very importantly, I believe that immunizations are a critical aspect of maintaining the health of all children. There are very few situations in which I would agree with not giving a child his or her immunizations. And finally, I believe that parents and caretakers need to set lasting examples for their children on how to live healthy, well-balanced lives.
How I thrive
Several times a week I run, lift weights, or play sports. I try to get my daily share of fruits, vegetables, and other healthy foods (often with my wife's help, admittedly). I also enjoy spending time with my family (my wife and my 3 very active sons), and I am also an active member of my church.
