Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page, and thank you for taking time to learn more about our hematology and oncology clinic.
Before coming to San Diego in 1997 to join the Hematology and Oncology Department, I was in private practice for 3 years in Washington State. In addition to my clinical practice, I also perform administrative duties, including working on our electronic health records system.
About my practice
Our department has a large team dedicated to providing you with high-quality care. Our many oncologists work together to care for you. One of us is always on call. We have great nurses to answer questions and address your concerns. You will find that our chemotherapy nurses are gentle and kind, and our oncology pharmacists are knowledgeable and friendly. When you come to our department for treatment, we encourage you to bring family members and friends. Prior to your visits with me, I encourage you to write down all the questions and concerns you would like me to address. Also, please prepare a list of your current medications. I understand that coming to our clinic for the first time can be scary and stressful. Please know that I am here to help you in every way that I can.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I participate in a book club, and I enjoy growing vegetables, cooking for friends, and sewing. We all know regular exercise is important for good health. I get my exercise by regularly swimming and running. I find meaning and purpose in my life by helping someone every day. I love my job. I am grateful for the blessings in my life, including the privilege of caring for you.
