Welcome to my Web page! I am so happy to be able to share a little bit about myself. I hope that the following information will assist you in getting to know me and help you in choosing a primary care provider for your child. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your health care needs. Thank you for choosing Kaiser Permanente as your health plan.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, I attended college at UCLA, went to medical school at Western University in Pomona, and completed residency training in pediatrics at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. I love the culture and vision of Kaiser Permanente and am thrilled to be at the Baldwin Park Medical Center as a full-time pediatrician. As a child, I grew up watching both my parents, with genuine hearts filled with joy and compassion, take care of people. My mom is a registered nurse of 30-plus years, and my dad was a devoted acupuncturist and pharmacist. I fell in love with pediatrics during medical school. I love partnering with families to take care of their children during some of the most important times of their lives. There is no other field of medicine I would rather be in.
I have been practicing general pediatrics since 2013. I believe in giving parents the best information I have about maintaining and maximizing children's health, taking time to make sure they understand what's going on with their bodies, and helping them make decisions that are right for them. When you come in for a visit, you will meet various staff such as receptionists, nurses, and other providers who are all here to address you and your child's needs. I encourage parents to contact me through the kp.org message center . This a great way to communicate results and answer questions. The physicians in my department are all excellent and are happy to care for your child when I'm not available.
I believe it is very important to balance home, work, and personal time. A huge part of how I live well is my faith. On Sundays I love going to church, and on weeknights I enjoy spending time with loved ones. My favorite way to stay active is walking: on the sidewalk, at the mall, at the park, in the mountains. I love that Kaiser Permanente helps me live well by encouraging me to take the stairs, walk along the Thrive Path , and shop at our local medical center's farmers market.
