Where I practice
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I feel fortunate and proud to be a member of the Orthopedics Department here at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County. Our department is dedicated to providing the best of care for our patients.
I was born in San Paulo, Brazil before moving to Orange County at the age of six. I spent the remainder of my childhood in Orange County, swimming and wrestling in high school. After graduating high school, I attended The Johns Hopkins University and then transferred back home to UC Irvine to complete my undergraduate education. After spending time in the Internet business world, I dedicated my life to medicine and returned to medical school. I underwent residency training at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center in primary care, and then completed my sports medicine fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
About my practice
My practice involves the nonsurgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. As a sports medicine physician, I believe in the philosophy that being active is a cornerstone to a healthy mind and body. It is my endeavor to be able to work with my patients to allow them to remain healthy and active. As a sports medicine physician, I want to ensure my patients achieve their goals, whether its being able to play tag with their kids after a knee injury or swimming at a division one college. My particular interest is in minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided procedures for tendon injuries and ultrasound guided joint injections.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with my wife and two young children. I am constantly amazed at the joys of fatherhood and watching the wonder of my kids discovering new things. I enjoy playing basketball and swimming in my free time. I also am an avid sports fan from the college to professional levels.
