Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am an inpatient psychiatrist, which means I care for patients who are in the hospital.
I was born and raised in New York. I completed my undergraduate degree in history and received my master's degree in public administration from New York University. I went to medical school at New York Medical College. I did my residency for four years at Naval Medical Center San Diego. After my residency, I worked at Naval Medical Center San Diego's inpatient psychiatric ward for three years. I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. I have been married since 2010 to a fashion designer, and we welcomed a son in 2013. This makes things always interesting at home.
About my practice
I work as an inpatient psychiatrist, so my work involves a lot of psychopharmacology, which is the use of medications in treating mental and emotional disorders. However, I find the personal, one-on-one approach to my patients very appealing and try to implement this when treating them. Psychiatry has always been interesting to me because of the patient's story and how this field of medicine dovetails with many aspects of one's life.
How I thrive
I love to work out and watch sports. I am probably the biggest hockey fan south of the Canadian border! I love to travel and be in exotic places to see the most extraordinary things. I love to eat, so I enjoy challenging myself when I’m cooking.
