Where I practice
I hope you can get to know me better after reading this Web page. I grew up in Brazil and came to the US to do my clinical training during medical school. I was very impressed with the quality of medical training in this country and decided to do my residency and fellowship here.
I moved from New York to San Francisco in 2007 after receiving an invitation to do my fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at UC San Francisco and fell in love with California. I spent 12 years in San Francisco and moved with my family to San Diego in December 2018. As far as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a pediatrician and work with parents and children. Endocrinology was an easy choice for me — I am fascinated by the way hormones affect our bodies and the way the endocrine system is interconnected.
About my practice
I care deeply about members and will always be a strong advocate for them. I am amazed every day by members’ resilience. I feel very fortunate to be a small part of their childhood and hopefully have an impact in their lives.
How I thrive
Keeping a healthy life is very important to me. I love to exercise! Physical activity helps me have a balanced life. I enjoy taking ballet classes, yoga, spinning, and going for long walks and bike rides with my husband. I have 2 amazing boys who are the most precious things in my life and who remind me of my opportunity and responsibility as a pediatrician to help other parents take care of their very precious children.
