Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
Although born in Taiwan, I immigrated along with my family to the United States at an early age, first settling in Sacramento. After high school, I attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, and then medical school at UCLA. I returned to Sacramento to complete my internal medicine training at UC Davis, where I continued to practice as a hospitalist, meaning that I care for members who have been admitted to the hospital. After starting a family, I decided to move to San Diego and join Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what they need. Being a doctor allows people to share with me their innermost secrets, fears, and hopes. It is a privilege to help people understand what concerns them, translate what they may not grasp, facilitate getting them the appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that members have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
When not caring for members, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my children (including my dog), and enjoying the many activities that the San Diego area has to offer.
