Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I look forward to working with you to develop a healthy professional relationship in order to best take care of you.
I was born in Vietnam and came to the United States in 1980. My family and I initially lived in Washington, D.C., but moved to San Diego in 1983 for its wonderful weather. I obtained all of my education here in San Diego up to my undergraduate degree in biology at UC San Diego. I moved north to attend medical school at UC San Francisco, and then came down to Los Angeles for my internal medicine internship, residency, and cardiology training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Afterwards, my wife and I chose to go to Honolulu, Hawaii, to work. Hawaii is beautiful, but we decided to return to San Diego in 2007 to be closer to my family. I am very glad to have chosen a position to practice at Kaiser Permanente.
My practice philosophy is that in order to best serve and take care of my patients, I need to develop a working relationship with each individual. As I deliver care, I always think to myself how I would want my family members to be treated. I am grateful to each member who chooses me as their heart doctor. In the age of technology and medical advancement, communication and understanding are still the foundations on which each relationship is built.
I thrive when I spend time with my family and friends. I love to travel, to do photography, to play volleyball, and to eat!
