About me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I am happy and grateful to have this chance to introduce myself, and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente with excellent colleagues, fantastic staff, and wonderful patients like you. I hope that through this page, you start to get to know me as we begin a meaningful relationship as doctor and patient.

Biography

I was born in the Philippines, and moved to Northern California when I was little. While attending medical school at UCLA, I fell in love with the people and weather, and decided to make my home here. I finally moved to Orange County when I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2004. I am married to a wonderful husband, and have three boys. I have wanted to become a doctor since I was six years old. Many factors contributed to choosing family medicine as my specialty. One of the main reasons is both my father and grandfather passed away from preventable diseases when I was ten years old. Preventive medicine is therefore very important to me. I think if we as physicians can teach and impart the knowledge of healthy living to even a tenth of our patients, many unnecessary deaths can be prevented. Imagine if we could do that for 100 percent of our patients!

About my practice

It is a privilege to take care of patients. Interactions with patients and the relationships built and fostered are the cornerstones of my practice. I want to be a partner in keeping you healthy, and am here to care for you if you get sick.

How I thrive

Leading a balanced life is key to wellness. I try to keep active by running, going to the gym, or playing tennis a few times a week. My main source of exercise is running after my three young sons. My husband and I try to enjoy every quality minute we spend with them as they seem to grow too fast. Cooking and baking are hobbies, as well as scrapbooking, keeping current with my children’s photos and videos, and making photobooks of major family life events. Spending time with family and friends and doing things that I enjoy is how I thrive.
