I was born and raised in Los Angeles and have spent the majority of my life here. Both of my parents and all my brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews live here as well. I think it's a great place to be, especially here in West L.A. I am also pretty fluent in Spanish and enjoy taking care of Latinos - after all I'm Italian, which I like to think of as being a fellow Latino. Hablo Espanol!
I am an Internist, meaning I specialize in the care of adults. I also have some extra training in sports medicine and did a fellowship in medical informatics technology (the application of computer technology in medicine). Currently, about half of my time is spent implementing and evolving Kaiser Permanente's groundbreaking electronic medical record system - something that will revolutionize how each and every one of us experience care. Even though I'm not in the office 100% of the time, I'm very dedicated to my patients and try and treat them as if they were my own family.
Let's face it, to quote someone I respect and admire greatly, "life is worth living." So we should enjoy the gifts we have been given and make every effort to live healthily. I thrive by spending time with family and friends. I also love sports, especially playing basketball. I've recently started playing golf so my father and I have something to do together. I playing the blues and jazz guitar and enjoy a good live band. In addition to medical journals, I also read extensively about philosophy and theology, which enriches, deepens and revives my spirit. I have been writing a couple of books related to those topics. Being a voracious reader I also love to read historical fiction and fantasy epics. I have also written a lot of poetry and some short stories.
