About me
Welcome to my Web page. I joined Kaiser Permanente as a hematologist and oncologist—blood and cancer doctor—in July 2005. I feel that Kaiser Permanente provides an excellent environment for practicing medicine. Here, physicians are able to focus on giving our members high-quality medical care, while other professional staff handle the administrative aspects of our practice.
Biography
I’m from Nanjing, China. In 1981, I entered Shanghai Medical College at Fudan University—one of the best medical schools in China—for my medical education. After graduation, I worked at Jiangsu Province Hospital in my hometown. I started my graduate studies in cellular and molecular biology, microbiology, and immunology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1990, and received my PhD in 1996. Between 1996 and 1999 I received post-doctorate training at the University of Alabama. I completed my internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia , and my hematology and oncology fellowship at UC San Diego. I was very glad to join Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center in 2005. I moved my practice to Ontario Medical Center in October 2007.
About my practice
My specialties are hematology (benign blood conditions), hematologic malignancies (blood cancers), and oncology (solid tumors). I believe that all my members deserve the best care. I treat each member like part of my family. I listen and partner with them to help achieve their health goals.
How I thrive
I have a couple hobbies I enjoy doing in my spare time. I ride with my friends on the Santa Ana River Trail each weekend. I also like photography—my subjects include landscapes, wildlife, flowers, portraits, and events.
