About me
Welcome to my Web page. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I know that finding a pediatrician that you trust and connect with can be a daunting task! I hope that by reading about me, you can get to know me a little bit more and that this will make your decision a bit easier!
Biography
I grew up always being “the older sister” to other kids in my community and church. It was my passion to take care of everyone, and it hurt me to see others suffering, especially children. Growing up, I also loved the sciences, and when studying at UC San Diego, I decided to combine my love for science and my love for people and pursue medicine. My dreams took me to the beautiful but cold state of New York, where I learned all there was to know about the human body and musicals, but when it was over, I was more than ready to come back. I flew back to sunny Southern California, literally and figuratively, with the intent of never leaving again, and finished my residency at UC Irvine.
About my practice
Before I start my day, I tell myself that every member and their family has a story to tell, and my job is to listen well. While I value giving the right recommendations for a medical problem, I also truly believe that partnering with families can be an efficient and effective way in bringing overall healing to members. Much of what I do in my practice is education, whether it be from when and how to start solids in an infant to counseling on how to keep a healthy lifestyle. I take pride in combining my knowledge as a pediatrician with the experience as a parent, to advocate for the health and well-being of members.
How I thrive
Being grateful for what I have and finding joy in the little moments are the daily reminders I give myself in order to survive the everyday hustle and bustle of life. I love modern calligraphy and lettering, and oftentimes, I use this as a way of relaxing after a long day at work. Exploring new hiking trails is also one of my favorite pastimes, with the most recent being Carbon Canyon Regional Park, where the breathtaking presence of the giant sequoias made me feel so alive and yet so small. Being awestruck with nature and its vastness keeps my perspective on life intact and grounded. The next time you’re in for a visit, ask me what my latest adventure in hiking has been!
