Accepting new patients. Referral may be required.
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I am a California native, born and raised in Southern California. I graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in bioengineering. Because of that training, I became involved in research that sparked my interest in the field of orthopaedic surgery. I received my medical training at UC Davis and then returned to UC San Diego, where I completed my residency in orthopaedic surgery. After my residency, I completed a one-year fellowship in sports medicine at UC San Francisco. I have been with the Orthopedics Department in San Diego since 1997.
I’m proud to be part of the sports medicine team in the Orthopedics Department here in San Diego. Our team is composed of subspecialist physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, and nurses who work together to care for patients with sports-related injuries. In my practice, I treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions, with a particular focus on minimally invasive techniques for repair and reconstruction of injuries of the knee and shoulder. I am also actively involved in teaching arthroscopy and sports medicine as a faculty member of Kaiser Permanente’s nationally accredited sports medicine fellowship training program.
I believe that regular exercise and physical activity are essential ingredients in maintaining a healthy balance among life’s many family, personal, and professional demands.
