Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients.
I am a Southern California native who wandered over to West Virginia for medical school before returning to my home state. Thereafter, I was fortunate to be selected for the first Kaiser Permanente San Diego family medicine residency, where I did my medical training. I love North County San Diego and plan on staying here as long as possible. I am a big believer that doctors are health coaches that empower members to make informed medical decisions to improve their health. Diet and exercise are among the simplest but most influential aspects of our health. Good practices can protect our bodies from the epidemic of conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, among many others. I strive to practice what I preach by eating healthy and exercising regularly. If you pick me as your primary care provider, I will treat you like family and ensure that I do all I can to help you live life fully.
I chose to become a doctor after my own experience with my orthopedist. I needed spinal fusion treatment, and being in and out of the surgeon’s office for most of my youth helped me become very comfortable around my doctor and want to help people in the same way he did. This sparked my initial passion to take care of people. My passion was confirmed while watching a childhood friend of mine suffer with leukemia. She was treated with excellent care by all of her physicians and actually was cured to me, you are family. I genuinely care about each and every member and make sure that the advice I provide is what I would tell my wife or parents.
To me you are family. I genuinely care about each and every patient and make sure that the advice I provide is what I would tell my wife or parents.
I stay healthy by spending quality time with my wife and son, running with our dog, cycling to work (weather permitting), surfing when the waves are good, and exploring the world of culinary creations.
