Hi, my name is Dora. Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I grew up in Southern California, mainly in Anaheim in Orange County. I come from a small immediate family, one sister, but have a very large extended family. I also have a family of my own which includes a wonderful supportive husband and a thriving rambuctious 3-year-old. I attended medical school at Stanford University, where I also completed my anesthesia residency. After that, I moved back to Southern California so I could be closer to my family.
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what patients need. Being a doctor and especially an anesthesiologist allows people to share with me their innermost secrets, fears, and hopes. It is a privilege to help patients understand what concerns them about anesthesia, translate what they may not grasp, facilitate getting them the appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families. I feel very honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit and try to live it in my life every day. My family life is my major priority. I enjoy family outings to Disneyland with my daughter and going to the park to play soccer with her. My husband, daughter, and I enjoy spending time together as a family on the weekends either playing at the park or going to the zoo. I incorporate daily exercise during my day by never using the elevators and taking the stairs whenever I get the chance.
