About me

My name is Dennis Espitia and I'm glad to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I hope the information presented here will help you get to know me better.

Biography

I am a native Southern Californian, born and raised in the greater Los Angeles area. In college, I realized I wanted to go into medicine when I volunteered at the Venice Family Clinic and at several campus organizations related to medicine. I spent most of my educational years in Westwood where I attended UCLA for both my undergraduate and medical school training. I spent an additional year at the UCLA Medical center completing a year of internship in the field of Internal Medicine. After spending 10 years at UCLA, I went across town to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. At LAC-USC, I completed my residency training in the specialty of emergency medicine. I signed up with Kaiser Permanente in 2009 where I have been ever since completing my residency training.

About my practice

In the Emergency Department, we work as a team to make this stressful environment as comfortable as possible for our patients. My philosophy is to try and connect with patients as my team and I work to assess and diagnose the patient's medical conditions. I strive to make sure the patient's needs are met while aiming to do so in a timely manner, your time is valuable! I feel honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I volunteer at various outreach events as opportunities arise. I enjoy hikes in the Foothill Mountains along with working out at the gym at least three times a week. On days off, I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. Life is short, take advantage of what little time we have together.
