About me
Hello, my name is David Hsu. I am an Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgeon with a specialization in the sinuses and nose. I am here to help you with nasal and sinus problems that affect your day-to-day life. I am looking forward to helping you on your path to overall wellness.
Biography
I grew up in Pasadena and went to UCLA for undergraduate schooling. Then, looking for a new adventure, I made the big jump across the country to the East Coast for my postgraduate studies, pursuing a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences in New York and then my medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Continuing my East Coast tour, I completed my Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. While I enjoyed my time in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, I missed my family and roots and was fortunate enough to complete my fellowship at UCLA in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery. I am so thankful to be working at Kaiser Permanente and am ready to give high-quality care to its members.
About my practice
My goal as an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and Sinus surgeon is to help members improve their quality of life from a nose and sinus standpoint. I’ve learned from my training that sinus problems, especially those that are severe, affect people every day of their lives, from breathing to nasal drip to always being on antibiotics for sinus infections. Therefore, my role is to give members choices to reduce their symptoms, from maximizing medical therapies to treating surgically complex sinuses. But most importantly, my goal is to make sure members are heard and to help them in any way I can within my abilities.
How I thrive
I thrive by staying active through sports such as basketball, golf, and a newfound pursuit, surfing. I also enjoy the outdoors, such as the fresh air of the mountains on hikes and the morning sunrise at the ocean. I am also a big proponent of family and community and enjoy neighborhood festivals, farmers markets, and potlucks.
