Hello there, and thank you for visiting my Web page! I am a vascular and interventional physician. What exactly does that mean? I'm glad you asked! Essentially, I am physician who does surgeries and procedures using X-ray, ultrasound, and CT scan guidance through small needle pokes into your blood vessels or directly into the body's organs to treat a variety of diseases. This limits the amount of trauma to your body and speeds up the recovery time.
I completed the majority of my medical training in the Southern California area including undergraduate, medical school, and business school at UC Irvine. I had my residency training at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. I then left for Miami to complete my vascular and interventional radiology fellowship training at the renowned Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute, one of the most rigorous programs in the nation. Despite the warm waters and sunny beaches of Miami, my heart was in Southern California. I feel blessed to be back home caring for patients in my community.
What I love most about my practice are the people I interact with every day. That not only includes the members and their families that I care for, but all the amazing doctors, nurses, and support staff here at the hospital. I am a true believer that the best care is delivered with a team approach . I have the opportunity to work closely with surgeons, cardiologists, neurologists, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, oncologists, primary care physicians, and many other specialists, to provide you the best care possible. I want you to get the same care I would expect for my own family members, and I truly believe that the Kaiser Permanente philosophy of care gives us the best opportunity to do so.
I thrive by spending as much time as possible with my beautiful family. We enjoy time at the beach, parks, hiking, and playing basketball. We always try to include our little Shih Tzu in our activities as well.
