Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I’m very happy to have this opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I look forward to working with you to help improve and maintain your health.
I was raised in Los Angeles—specifically Pico Rivera and Montebello—but my roots are in South Texas, where both my parents were born and raised. I come from a large family, and I'm now enjoying raising four children of my own. I was drawn to the field of medicine initially through my interest in social service and in helping both individuals and the community. My initial background and work in social service began with helping those with addiction problems. I still feel a strong calling to help those at the fringes of society. I feel fortunate to practice in an organization like Kaiser Permanente, not only because of the high-quality care it provides, but also because it has strongly supported my needs as a mother for a flexible schedule to help care for my children.
About my practice
I enjoy practicing the full scope of family medicine—from infant to elder care, from pregnant women to the whole family. I take the honor of being entrusted with my members’ health care very seriously, and I strive to treat you as I would a member of my own family.
How I thrive
I enjoy the outdoors. I find balance and peace in outdoor activities like going to the park with my children, hiking, visiting the beach, and much more. I also enjoy listening to music, going to concerts, or just singing and dancing at home with my kids. A healthy, well-balanced diet is inextricably tied to good health, so I focus on good nutrition for my family and myself. Lastly, I believe that as human beings we are first and foremost social beings with an inherent need for social relations. Whether it's having ties to one's church, community organization, family, or workplace, I believe it’s important to develop those relationships with others in order to live a healthy, balanced life.
