Where I practice
Welcome to Kaiser Permanente and to my Web page. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I am a native Southern Californian who grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. I was exposed to medicine at an early age by my mother, a registered nurse. Watching her interact and compassionately take care of patients inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. In order to gain the best possible education, I moved to Chicago to train in emergency medicine at Cook County Hospital. As an emergency physician, I have the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives when they are most in need. I feel privileged to be able to connect to patients in a meaningful way and to utilize my skills and training to help them during stressful events.
About my practice
Our team here in San Diego includes physicians, nurses, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, all working to deliver the best care in emergency medical services.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I firmly believe that to have the energy and stamina to be the best physician, family member, and friend, I need to be healthy in mind, body, and spirit. My family life is my major priority, and I enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors-for example, golfing or taking trips to the beach or zoo. I make it a priority to set aside time to just relax, read a good novel, or send hand-written notes to family and friends.
