Where I practice
Welcome to Kaiser Permanente and my Web page! I hope you find this site informative. As part of the Kaiser Permanente team, I'm excited to be caring for you and your family, and I'm committed to providing quality, comprehensive eye care.
I'm originally from Washington State but I've been living in San Diego for the past thirteen years, and I'm happy to call this place home! I've wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember. I fell in love with ophthalmology the first time I saw the retina and my love for this field and how it enables me to serve my patients grows every day. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I was in the United States Navy for 12 years. I served as a naval flight surgeon for my first five years and then went on to complete my residency in ophthalmology at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Upon completion of my training, I remained at the Naval Medical Center as a staff ophthalmologist and taught residents as the director of the comprehensive eye clinic. I was honored in 2007 with the Junior Mentor Award and the Junior Staff Award. When I'm not at work, I'm at home spending time with my husband and our four children.
About my practice
My staff and I are here to provide you with high-quality care in an environment that is personal, professional, ethical, and respectful.
How I thrive
I believe in living life to the fullest, both at work and at home. Professionally, I'm involved in local and national professional societies to maintain my knowledge of the latest technology and treatments to better serve you. Personally, I find it important to exercise regularly and make time for my family and friends. We love to boat, ski, hike, and read together.
