About me
Hello! My name is Dr. Cindy Njemanze (En-jeh-mahn-zeh). I am so grateful for the opportunity to share with you my credentials and other information about myself. My hope is that, through this page, you will get to know me a little better.
Biography
I am the first child of Nigerian immigrants. From a young age, I was taught the importance of family, culture, and tradition. My parents also ingrained in me the idea that if I set goals for myself, worked hard, and did not give up in the face of adversity, I could accomplish anything that I put my mind to. This philosophy has proven true in my life, and I strive to instill this belief, not only in members, but also in the junior high students I mentor through Kaiser’s Hippocrates Circle Program (HCP), a program designed to expose young, diverse, 7th and 8th graders to physician careers.
About my practice
I decided to practice medicine due to my deep desire to help others achieve health and wholeness so that they have the best opportunity to fulfill their potential and accomplish their goals in life. I truly believe that wholeness does not only pertain to physical health, but also involves mental, emotional, and spiritual health. I chose the field of pediatrics because I love working with children. Their innate curiosity and optimism continue to inspire me daily. I consider it the greatest honor to bear witness to the growth and development of children, from infancy, to childhood, to adolescence, and to play a role in helping them stay healthy so they can accomplish their goals and reach their full potential. I also love partnering with, guiding, and encouraging parents in their childrearing journey.
How I thrive
I thrive by engaging in daily prayer and meditation and by practicing my Christian faith, which keeps me grounded and helps me keep a healthy perspective on life. I exercise regularly and enjoy walking and running. I also love watching Nollywood movies.
