About me

Hello, I am glad that you took the time to learn more about the physicians who are caring for you. It is a great honor for me to have the privilege to care for members, and I am happy to share my career path with my you. As long as I can remember, I have had a strong passion for medicine, and becoming a physician has been my lifelong dream.

Biography

My graduate training started with the completion of my bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and molecular biology at UC Irvine. I was a very happy and eager Anteater and was very active volunteering at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. Upon graduation from UC Irvine, I continued my journey at the Western University of Health Sciences, where I finished my four years of medical school. I truly enjoyed my training there, especially volunteering at free clinics in the Inland Empire. This is why I resumed my medical training in the Inland Empire, at UC Riverside, where I completed my three-year residency in Internal Medicine. During my residency, I had part of my clinical training at the Kaiser Permanente’s Riverside Medical Center, which is where I got to witness firsthand what an amazing organization Kaiser Permanente is. Learning about all the patient resources, education, and thorough care, I could not imagine practicing medicine anywhere else. I also became a part of the bioethics committee at Kaiser Permanente’s Riverside and Moreno Valley medical centers, where I learned how to be a patient advocate and how to ethically represent members’ wishes.

About my practice

Health has a lot of components to it. First, preventing disease is the best way to stay healthy. Therefore, I am a strong advocate for preventive medicine. A healthy lifestyle and a healthy state of mind are crucial in order for your body to heal from any ailments. But sometimes, we are not able to prevent disease, no matter how hard we try. This is where I come in as a hospitalist. I try to heal members’ acute illnesses as best as I can so they can return to their daily lives. The best part about practicing in a hospital setting is the extra time I get to spend with members. I love getting to know them and addressing their chronic illnesses after stabilizing them.

How I thrive

The most important things to me are my family and keeping up relationships with those whom I love. During my free time, I cook, travel, and spend as much time with loved ones as I can. I also enjoy reading a good book with my cat in my lap or going outside and spending a day at the beach. But most importantly, making time for the things we love, in this busy everyday life.
