About me
Hi there, thanks for stopping by! My name is Dr. Candace Sprott, and I’d like to share a few things about myself in order to help you decide if I’d be a good fit to help take care of you and your family members.
Biography
I grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, and am truly a Southern girl at heart. I enjoy sweet tea, grits, and saying hello to strangers and am an avid Carolina Panthers fan. Since moving to Oceanside in 2015, I’ve grown to love avocados on anything, perennial sunshine, and the amazing melting pot of people, cultures, and foods that our area provides.
About my practice
I’m a dual-board-certified internist (doctor who cares for adults over 18) and pediatrician (doctor who cares for children up to age 18). I trained in this combined specialty, commonly called med-peds, because I loved the ability to come alongside someone at any stage of life and provide them with high-quality, personalized care based on evidence and current research. I consider myself a partner in your health care journey, advising you of any risk related to your lifestyle and medical conditions, encouraging preventive measures like vaccinations and cancer screenings to keep you healthy, and attending to your mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
How I thrive
I’m an avid reader, and I enjoy spending quality time with my family, love to travel, and have been described as a “foodie” by more than one person. I prioritize my health and well-being by practicing mindfulness, making sure to get enough sleep, and staying physically active — all the things I’m going to advocate for you to do to get and stay as healthy as possible!
