About me
Welcome to my Web page. I'm pleased to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and tell you about myself and my practice. First, however, let me tell you how fortunate I feel to practice within the Kaiser Permanente family. This health care system has a long and deep commitment to patient care, and I am proud to be part of this commitment and to work alongside outstanding colleagues in all areas of medical care.
Biography
I was born in Jerusalem, Israel. I attended Yeshiva University in New York and received my medical degree from State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. I completed my internship and residency in pediatrics at Beth Israel Hospital in New York, Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital at Dartmouth Medical School, and UCLA. My fellowship in pediatric endocrinology was at UCLA and I trained an additional year in diabetes at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. I am involved in regional continuing medical education for physicians and chair our yearly pediatric symposium. I have published articles and chapters, and contributed to the permanent archival collection of the American Academy of Pediatrics Library.
About my practice
Although I still do general pediatrics, my practice is devoted almost exclusively to pediatric endocrinology and childhood diabetes. Pediatric endocrinology is a particularly interesting field in that it intimately ties in with general pediatrics, dealing with growth and development and hormonal problems that may interfere with these normal processes. I am fortunate to work with a wonderful nurse who as expertise in many areas and helps me run our diabetes clinic. Last year we instituted an evening clinic that has proved rather popular. I can say that our patients are quite loyal to us as we are to them. You can get an appointment quite readily and we make a point of answering your questions.
How I thrive
I get great satisfaction from my medical practice and greatly enjoy working with our patients. I also take pleasure in being with family and friends.
