About me
Hello, I'm Dr. Doostan, a dermatologist at the Kaiser Permanente Lancaster Medical Offices.
Biography
I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, and except for the time I spent away during medical school, I’ve always called Southern California my home. I attended UCLA as an undergraduate and then studied at the Chicago Medical School. I served my internship in Long Island, New York, and my residency in Milwaukee, so I had a chance to see many areas of the country during my training. Family, friends, and the great weather drew me back to California when it came time to begin my practice. I was attracted to Kaiser Permanente because here, I am able to focus on what I know best, dermatology, while other experts take care of the administrative and financial details. I like their well-coordinated, efficient operations and their focus on prevention.
About my practice
The practice of dermatology is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders and diseases. Here in the Antelope Valley, we see many members who suffer from conditions caused by too much exposure to the sun. You can help defend against potential skin problems by limiting your exposure to direct sunlight and always wearing effective sun protection. I try to develop a personal rapport with all of my members regardless of why they were referred here. Understanding your needs and motivations for seeking treatment helps me develop a more effective course of action for your specific situation. So lets talk and see how I can best help you. For more ideas, pick up a free brochure in our office.
How I thrive
Living in Southern California, I love the outdoors. Being a dermatologist, I make a point of taking care of my skin as I enjoy the sunshine. With a little sunscreen and the appropriate apparel, I spend my off hours running, jogging, swimming, and hiking, as well as partaking of other open-air activities without reservation. Being good to your skin doesn’t require depriving yourself of the great outdoors; it just takes a little preparation. So join me and enjoy the sunshine sensibly!
