Where I practice
Hello and welcome. I have been a general surgeon at the Kaiser Permanente Bellflower-Downey Medical Center for over 33 years. I have a quite varied general surgery practice, with extensive laparoscopic experience, and would be very happy to help you with any general surgery problem.
I was raised in Los Angeles. As an undergraduate at UCLA, I majored in chemistry. I decided to remain in Southern California to practice medicine because I am an only child and my parents were getting older. I felt that I needed to remain in the area in order to help my family.
About my practice
Being told you need an operation can be very troubling. We understand this and try very hard to explain things in everyday terms so our patients understand exactly what needs to be done, thereby helping them cope with this stressful time. My practice includes surgery of the thyroid, parathyroid, breast, rectum, and abdomen (including the stomach, hiatal hernias and other hernias, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, adrenal glands, small intestine, and colon). I have been performing laparoscopic surgery since 1991.
How I thrive
I enjoy traveling and spending time with my wife, kids, and grandkids. I love digital photography. computer art, and stereo photography and working with the program Adobe Photoshop.
