About me
Hello. I’m excited to introduce myself. I love practicing medicine, especially the field of cardiology. I pride myself on being approachable, attentive, and detailed oriented.
Biography
I have a long history with Kaiser Permanente. I was raised with Kaiser Permanente as my health provider, and now I'm a physician for the Kaiser Permanente family. I enjoy everything that California has to offer: the sunny weather, the outdoor activities, the cultural diversity, and the educational opportunities. I have had to adapt to new environments throughout my life. For this reason, I feel that I have an innate ability to listen to people. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives and experiences. I received my bachelor of science from UC Irvine. I was later accepted to Touro University Nevada Medical School, and this is where I met my amazing partner. She is an obstetrician/gynecologist practicing in San Diego. I went to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Internal Medicine program, where I was also chief resident. Then, I went to Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey for my cardiology fellowship. Here is where learned how much I love taking care of people in and out of the hospital. I also discovered that my passion is for people with heart failure. I realized that in order to manage and/or prevent heart failure, I need to look at the person as a whole. I believe that prevention is the first step to treatment.
About my practice
After my cardiology fellowship, I decided to become an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist and completed the fellowship at Scripps . I learned to manage people in cardiogenic shock requiring mechanical circulatory support and eventually needing a cardiac transplant or left ventricular assist device. I also developed a special interest in pulmonary arterial hypertension and other rare cardiac diseases. My practice starts with preventive medicine because all people require a total health evaluation.
How I thrive
I believe that health and family are the most fundamental components to life. I keep an active lifestyle with running, yoga, and hiking. My wife, son, and I enjoy outdoor activities and try to travel and camp. We enjoy nature and all that it offers. My wife and I try to instill the value of the planet to our son.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. The measures may include, but are not limited to, HEDIS/CAHPS performance, member/patient complaints, patient safety scores, hospital quality measures, and geographic need. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans’ contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of members’ KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.
Kaiser Permanente uses the same geographic distribution consideration to select hospitals in Marketplace plans as it does for all other Kaiser Foundation Health Plan (KFHP) products and lines of business. Accessibility of medical offices and medical centers in this directory: All Kaiser Permanente facilities are accessible to members.
