Welcome to my Web page. It's important that you feel comfortable with your physician and I hope this will help you get to know me. I joined the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism in 2010.
Sunny Southern California is where I call home. In fact, I grew up locally where I was once a Kaiser member at Panorama City during my childhood years. After several years on the east coast where I attended medical school and completed my residency in Internal Medicine, I returned to Southern California to complete my specialty training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of California, San Diego. While I miss the beautiful seasons of the east coast, there is something to be said for being close to family and lifelong friends.
I’m a physician who specializes in treating disorders of the endocrine system. The endocrine system consists of several glands, in different parts of the body that secrete hormones into the blood. The endocrine organs include the pituitary, thyroid, adrenals, ovaries, testes, and pancreas. I treat a wide range of disorders including diabetes, thyroid disorders, calcium disorders, metabolic bone disease, pituitary disorders, sex hormone disorders, and tumors of the endocrine glands.
I believe our health is our most valuable asset. The three most important components of health are adequate sleep, regular exercise, and a healthy diet that’s high in fruits and vegetables.
