About me
Hello, my name is Dr. Andrew Au. Welcome to my Web page! I’m happy to have the opportunity to tell you about myself and my practice.
Biography
Growing up in the vibrant borough of Brooklyn, New York, I developed a deep appreciation for diversity, culture, and community. From a young age, I was captivated by the power of medicine and its ability to positively impact lives. This passion led me to pursue a career in podiatry, where I dedicated years of rigorous study and training to become a compassionate and knowledgeable physician. As a proud metropolitan native, I understand the unique challenges and needs of our Southern California community, and I am committed to providing high-quality of care to each and every member I have the privilege of serving. I believe in building strong member-doctor relationships based on trust, open communication, and mutual respect. Together, we will navigate your health journey, ensuring that you receive care tailored to your specific needs and based on evidence and current research.
About my practice
I earned my DPM at the California School of Podiatric Medicine. The program instilled in me a deep understanding of the human body, clinical skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Following my medical school journey, I pursued my podiatric surgery residency training at Yale New Haven Hospital, in affiliation with the Yale School of Medicine. During my residency, I had the opportunity to work alongside distinguished faculty members and learn from diverse patient populations, honing my clinical expertise and gaining a deep understanding of complex podiatric conditions. The training at Yale equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide compassionate care while keeping up with the latest advancements in podiatry. I am grateful for the exceptional training I received at both institutions, which has prepared me to provide high-quality care to members.
How I thrive
I am deeply committed to leading a healthy and active lifestyle, which I believe is essential for personal well-being and professional growth. To stay active and thrive, I prioritize regular exercise and make time for physical activities that bring me joy and rejuvenation. Whether it’s strolling along the scenic paths of the LA Arboretum, playing tennis for mental clarity and flexibility, or exploring the diverse suburbs of LA on foot, I find great solace and inspiration in staying active. Moreover, I firmly believe that nurturing a balanced life extends beyond physical fitness. I make it a point to engage in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being, such as relaxation, reading, and spending quality time with loved ones. By prioritizing self-care, I aim to be the best version of myself, both personally and professionally, and to bring that energy and vitality to every member encounter.
