Additional Resources

If you qualify for Medicaid, you may also qualify for other assistance such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Health Related Services.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

The Oregon Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food benefits, access to a healthy diet, and education on food preparation and nutrition to low-income Oregon households. SNAP recipients receive a card that is used like an ATM card to buy eligible food in authorized retail food stores. The program is designed to help improve the health and well-being of low-income households and individuals by providing them a means to meet their nutritional needs. If you are finding it difficult to afford to feed yourself or your family, SNAP may be able to help.

How to Apply

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

The Oregon Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program provides cash assistance to eligible low-income Oregon families with children. The program is designed to reduce the number of families living in poverty, through employment services and community resources. This immediate short-term help may be used for housing, food, utilities, clothing, or medical care.
