About me
I am a Pacific Northwest native who has lived in this area for most of my life. I have been happily married for many years and actively embrace the joys and challenges of being a parent and grandparent. Even after more than three decades in the mental health field, I remain dedicated to and engaged in my job. I feel privileged to hear the stories, goals, and challenges of my clients and to support them in their quest for enhanced mental health. My pronouns are she/her/hers; however, I believe that gender identity and gender expression can be far more complex and fluid than any grouping of words can capture. I also believe that diversity in all its forms is both important and beautiful.
About my practice
Mental health therapy can look as different as the people seeking help for their concerns. While my work is guided by many years of learning and experience, I keep up with the latest mental health research. I believe therapy is only one of many ways people meet their challenges. Circumstances, beliefs, history, biology, destiny, connections, personality, and habits all play a role in who people are and in how they handle what comes into their lives. I help clients learn how to access and develop their internal and external resources in ways that enable them to meet their current challenges while also gaining skills for future use. In addition to a range of techniques that mostly involve talking, I am trained in a variety of experiential techniques. I am certified by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) for biofeedback and by the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) for clinical hypnosis.

How I thrive
For me, thriving is a mix of meaningful work, connections with family and friends, and a good dose of fun. I enjoy traveling, hiking, yoga, kayaking, walking, reading, animals, gardening, and just hanging out. In working through rough spots of my life, I use curiosity, persistence, gratitude, nature, kindness, and companionship to help cope.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other KFHP (Kaiser Foundation Health Plan) products and lines of business. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans’ contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of members’ KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
