About me
Originally from Southern California, I grew up loving libraries and camping with my Girl Scout troop. In college at University of California, Los Angeles, I majored in molecular biology and women's studies. I found a great deal of meaning mentoring young women at a local middle school and was fascinated by my genetics research on fruit flies. I became an advocate for the health of LGBTQ+ folks. Becoming a doctor was a perfect way to both pursue my passion for the sciences and get to know and serve folks in my community. In medical school in the Bay Area, I learned that most of our health outcomes are the result of social and economic factors in our lives, not just the medical care we receive. So along with my MD, I completed a master's in public policy, in the hopes that this combined training would allow me to more fully serve the health needs of my community.
About my practice
I'm a family practice doctor who cares for children, women, and men of all ages and from diverse backgrounds. The best part of my job is getting to know people and families over the course of years. I love prenatal care and getting to support growing families. I consider it a privilege to serve LGBTQ folks. I offer a variety of in-clinic procedures, including those that support reproductive health. I meet folks where they are, without judgment, and together we build a personalized and whole-person plan of care that brings them ever closer to the life of their choosing. What I love about being a Kaiser Permanente doctor is how the whole organization is structured to incentivize care providers — working together on teams and across specialties — to do right by our patients and provide exceptionally high-value care.
How I thrive
It's a lifelong journey, learning to build a care practice for the body, mind, and spirit. But to this day, just as in childhood, few things bring me more joy than reading and camping. I find a special kind of wellness being in the outdoors and count myself lucky to have backpacked in Nepal, Canada, and the Alps. I love cooking delicious food, taking my dog on walks, and watching my niece grow up before my eyes. I'm a huge science fiction fan and an avid follower of political news. Slowly, surely, I am learning to crochet and play the guitar.

Kaiser Permanente uses the same quality, member experience, or cost-related measures to select practitioners and facilities in Marketplace Silver-tier plans as it does for all other KFHP (Kaiser Foundation Health Plan) products and lines of business. Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans’ contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of members’ KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
