About me
I was born and raised in a small town in Oregon. After graduating high school, not knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my life, I developed an interest and fascination with radiology. I then came across a medical assisting (MA) program with an attached radiology (x-ray) focus, and two years later I was working in a primary care/urgent care clinic in my hometown as their main urgent care MA. After working solely for two years, I was inspired by the physician assistants (PAs) I worked with and ultimately decided to go back to school to pursue a career as a PA. Six years later, I graduated from Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon, and worked in a privately owned family practice/urgent care clinic in Portland for eight months before joining the Kaiser Permanente team.
About my practice
I enjoy working with patients of all ages, pediatric to geriatric. I like being able to connect with patients on both a professional and personal level so that I can get to know them better and develop a patient-clinician relationship. I am big on patient education and on keeping patients informed as to what is going on, what options are available, how things work, and so forth. Being able to explain something to a patient and to have them respond with affirmation that they have a better understanding is both fulfilling and rewarding.
How I thrive
I consider myself a go-with-the-flow type of person. I am happiest when I can spend my time with loved ones, whether family or friends, regardless of the activity. If someone wants to do something, then I am happy to participate. This includes both outdoor and indoor activities. Staying active is important for both mind and body so walking, running, hitting the gym, swimming, and hiking are all things I enjoy, but staying inside binge-watching a series on Netflix is also something I am not opposed to. Being able to go on random road trips with friends, windows down, blasting music while singing along is something I could do all day, every day; however, life requires balance so enjoying it while I can is something I can settle for.

All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
