About me
I grew up in a small town in central Illinois, and my tenure in healthcare began initially when I became an X-ray technician in my early 20's. I first began my love of working in cardiology as a cath lab tech, and continued into cardiac electrophysiology after obtaining my physician assistant (PA) degree. I enjoyed practicing as a PA in Chicago, Illinois and Madison, Wisconsin before coming to join Kaiser Permanente in Oregon in 2013. My husband, a classically trained clarinetist, and our young son are having fun exploring the beautiful region. We are looking forward to learning more about the area and have enjoyed the great hospitality of the people.
About my practice
As a physician assistant, my practice is largely modeled by my supervising physician, who I have known for close to a decade. We enjoy a team approach to our collaboration for patient care. I have extensive hands-on working knowledge of very advanced cardiac electrophysiology procedures. I strive to keep up to date on the progressive procedural technology and implanted devices that are within the electrophysiology field. My practice largely involves educating patients and their families, to help them make their own informed decisions. I try to treat each patient as I would want to be treated, or as I would want my family member treated. I enjoy being able to simplify the information for them, and give easy to understand examples for them to feel less anxious or confused.
How I thrive
My husband and I enjoy cooking new recipes together, and visiting new restaurants to try different things. I am revisiting my love of reading for enjoyment, when I can find some quiet time. I have the most popular lap in our house, with often times both our 3 year old son and his "furry sister" (our cat) jockeying for position. I love keeping in touch with my family by phone and social media, and I will soon become a Great Aunt! I love exposing my son to the beauty of the outdoors, and we enjoy the mountains, the ocean, and the beach. Locally, we go to parks on a weekly basis, and I am not too old to give the slide a go, once or twice.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
