Welcome to my Web page. Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself to you.
Biography
Born and raised in the Philippines I dreamed of becoming a doctor since my childhood years. Unfortunately, medical school was unaffordable initially and so I was inspired to become a registered nurse first and then become a family nurse practitioner after my family migrated to Oregon in 1995. Upon completing the Family Nurse Practitioner Program of Oregon Health and Science University in 2004, I was blessed to work in various healthcare settings including primary care clinics serving diverse communities in Oregon and Washington. My saved income eventually allowed my whole family and I to move to Philippines for my medical school until my graduation in 2017. The vast work experience I gained as a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner has helped me provide the best care as a doctor to each patient during my family medicine residency training at University of Hawaii serving Filipinos, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, Japanese, and people of other ethnicities. My family and I moved back here in Portland after completing residency training in 2022 to live closer to our parents, siblings, and other family relatives and friends and to help spread the Hawaiian aloha spirit to Portland and vicinity.
About my practice
I chose Family Medicine because I love caring for everyone across the whole lifespan from conception to end of life. It is my passion to make a difference in the life of every person despite the many complexities of physical and/or mental health, cultural, and socioeconomic background by providing holistic care and aloha spirit with love for all mankind, compassion, sympathy, and kindness. I would like to help anyone stay healthy or help stabilize diabetes and other chronic diseases through a treatment plan that is carefully tailored to each individual’s goals and needs with strong emphasis on whole foods diet, adequate rest and sleep, regular exercise, and mental wellness in addition to any recommended medication/s. I would love to speak in Ilocano or Tagalog to Filipino clients who prefer any of these languages during clinic visits.
How I thrive
Listening to Christian music helps me stay grounded, relieve stress, and refocus with my daily goals. I try to have a daily exercise which can be just a simple 15-minute walk in the neighborhood to a 1-hour Zumba or other gym workout. I enjoy gardening, playing table tennis, hiking, and travelling to new places with my husband and two children. I personally love making mini-movies from pictures and videos of nature and people just by using my phone during my spare time.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
