About me
I am a native of the Pacific Northwest, born and raised in the Seattle area. I moved to Portland, where I studied organizational leadership and public speaking in college. I trained in counseling and family therapy at George Fox University. I have additional training in trauma-informed care through the University of Washington Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress. My pronouns are he/him/his.
About my practice
I believe that the most important thing I can do for a KP member in my care is to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to prosper in their own life. In my role as a therapist I serve as a collaborative consultant, helping people identify and articulate their preferred picture for their life and wellness — working alongside them to take steps to accomplish their therapy goals. I emphasize education, mindfulness, acceptance, and an action-oriented approach to therapy. It is my hope to go beyond the static “talk-therapy” model and instead help people engage in a dynamic lifestyle that promotes psychological and emotional wellness.

How I thrive
When I am not in the office you can usually find me at the gym, on the water kayaking with my wife, spending time with friends, or at the park with my dogs. I thrive when I am active. I love to travel and explore new places, learn new things, and have new experiences. I love cooking, sports, fishing, disc golf, the University of Washington Huskies, and daydreaming about moving to the Big Island of Hawaii!

Members enrolled in KFHP Marketplace plans have access to all professional, institutional and ancillary health care providers who participate in KFHP plans’ contracted provider network, in accordance with the terms of members’ KFHP plan of coverage. All Kaiser Permanente Medical Group physicians and network physicians are subject to the same quality review processes and certifications.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
