Where I practice
I was born and raised in Pampanga, Philippines. After finishing a 1-year Russian Language Course in Tbilisi, Georgia, I was fortunate to have been given a chance to study Medicine at the Odessa Medical University in Ukraine after graduation. I went back home in the Philippines and joined the doctors to the Barrios Program. For two and half years I worked as a primary care physician in the remote doctorless municipalities in the Philippines. It was then that I decided to pursue a Family and Community Medicine Residency Training at the Philippine General Hospital in Manila, Philippines, where I met my wife. I also completed a Clinical Fellowship in Palliative Medicine at the National Cancer Center in Singapore as well as a Clinical Fellowship at the Department of Geriatrics at Changi General Hospital in Singapore. After that, I also worked as a Medical Officer at the Emergency Department of the Tan Tock Seng Hospital Singapore for two and half years. My wife and I decided to move to the United States and pursued Family Medicine residency training. Both of us have now joined the Kaiser Permanente Northwest family.
About my practice
I joined Kaiser Permanente Northwest in 2010 at the Longview/Kelso Medical Office as a Primary Care Provider to pediatric and adult patients. I enjoy seeing patients, especially in an organized managed care setting, where our main concern is high quality patient care. I enjoy working closely with an excellent network of specialists. I also have the opportunity to practice Hospital Medicine at St. John's Medical Center in Longview, Washington.
How I thrive
With our busy schedules, I still make it a point to exercise, whether just walking at the park or working out at home. I strive to eat as healthy as possible, increasing fruits and vegetables in my meals. My wife and I enjoy traveling and we are still exploring the Northwest.
