No, I'm not accepting new patients. Please call 1-800-813-2000.
I was born in Georgia but grew up mostly overseas in Italy and Denmark and completed my undergraduate degree in England. After a year of AmeriCorps volunteering in Washington state, I fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. I went back to Georgia for prerequisites and medical school, then completed residency (and got married!) in southern Colorado. I am now very happy to call Oregon home.
Like most physicians who are drawn to family medicine, I am passionate about preventive medicine. I love to work with patients of all ages, but I must admit that I particularly enjoy prenatal care and working with kids (yes, even teenagers). Coming from an English literature undergraduate degree, I consider each patient’s story and strive to use that to enhance compassion in my practice. I believe that the more a patient and doctor collaborate on a mutual plan for health, the better the outcome. I believe in making small, sustainable changes for better health.
I love to hang out with my husband and my dog. These days I read more than I write, but I have dreams of one day writing a book. I enjoy cooking and baking up a storm. I am a huge fan of joyful movement every day, and take part in many forms of activity including but not limited to hiking, walking, running, dancing, skiing, and spinning. I also dabble in drawing, painting, jewelry-making, sculpture, and whatever other craft strikes my fancy. I play dress-up most days and have a pretty impressive collection of earrings. Last, but definitely not least, I love to connect with my family and friends.
