I grew up in Northern California, where I fostered a love for the outdoors and warmer weather. Summer months in Oregon make the winter months seem worthwhile. Every year I'm in awe of the varieties of green that I notice on my nature walks. I consider it a privilege to work as a therapist. I am honored that individuals allow me to be a part of their stories, goals, and challenges. I received my bachelor’s in psychology from California State University, Sacramento, and my master's in social work at Portland State University. I am currently a licensed clinical social worker and a certified drug and alcohol counselor.
I do my best to embrace each member’s unique circumstances and situation while establishing a strong therapeutic relationship. I believe that I can help people learn how to access tools that empower them to meet their current challenges, while simultaneously building skills for future use. I am trained in systems and solution-focused approaches. I look at relationships in member's lives as systems and work with people to strengthen those relationships, whether it be an individual, family, or couple. I see a variety of members and love the diversity. Most of my background and experience has been in treating children, teens, and families. Working at Kaiser Permanente has given me the opportunity to work with individuals of all ages. Currently I serve children, teens, families, adults, and aging populations.
I enjoy spending my free time outdoors and being active with family and friends: walking, hiking, running, yoga, bike riding, and weight lifting. You can also find me cooking healthy and wholesome meals for my family. I enjoy reading and often have a stack of books on my nightstand.
