Where I practice
I have a decade of experience in Internal Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Cardiology/Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology combined. I received my medical education from NTR University of Health Sciences Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada, India, and completed my Internal Medicine residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Mercy Hospital. I practiced as an internist in Roseburg, Oregon, before starting the hospitalist program at Mercy Medical Center there and working as a hospitalist for 4 years. I then completed my fellowships in Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Oregon Health & Science University. Back in Roseburg I started the electrophysiology program at Mercy Medical Center. My research interests are bioinformatics, health care quality, outcomes, and patient education. Before joining Northwest Permanente, I served on the Board of Cardiovascular Senior Leadership for Catholic Health, and as a council member for the Oregon Chapter of American College of Cardiology.
About my practice
I am board-certified in Cardiology, Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Medicine, and Internal Medicine. My focus in Cardiology is on arrhythmias and, further, on atrial fibrillation. I believe preventive care is the best cure, with an emphasis on lifestyle management. My research interests are bioinformatics, healthcare quality, outcomes, and member education.
How I thrive
I am married with 2 children. I like to spend time with my family hiking, biking, and traveling, and I enjoy reading nonfiction books. I am interested in technologies that improve delivery of health care in rural communities in countries that are not as fortunate as America, and I participate in nonprofit causes that increase access to doctors in such places.
